We celebrated Cinco de Mayo by breaking open a pinata!  Our 2-5 year old classes got to take turns hitting the pinata and all were very excited when the candy fell out!  We also spent time during the day talking about where Mexico is and why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated.

We were lucky enough to get a visit from the Montgomery County Sheriff Departments Bomb Squad and K-9 unit during our Week of the Young Child celebrations.  The K-9 unit brought several dogs that showed off their tricks and showed what good listeners they are!  We even got to see one of the dogs find a "bad guy" in the woods!  The bomb squad brought a huge robot that did some cool tricks too!  It picked up a bowling pin and delivered it to one of the children!
