We plan our lessons based on The Creative Curriculum for Early Childhood (Dodge, Colker 2000). Teachers plan lessons to address all areas of a child's development and use assessments and weekly objectives to ensure each child's educational needs are being met. Much of our curriculum is based on child-initiated activities that allow children to use their natural curiosity to explore the environment. Learning is more memorable because it consists of hands-on activities that are meaningful to the children. Our excellent staff of teachers set up an environment that encourages the children to explore and then guides them through that exploration. We believe that a curriculum based on play, hands on activities and free exploration will help all children develop academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
